Open surgical repair of a giant celiac artery aneurysm with complex anatomy using retrograde balloon occlusion technique

چکیده

Several options exist for the treatment of celiac artery aneurysms (CAAs), including surgical repair and endovascular procedures. However, CAAs is sometimes challenging due to their proximity ostium (CA) involvement branches. Herein, we describe a case giant CAA extending from proximal CA hepatosplenic bifurcation. Due anatomical complexity this CAA, control was major therapeutic concern. The patient underwent open aneurysmectomy using retrograde balloon occlusion technique inflow with satisfactory result.

Giant True Celiac Artery Aneurysm

Celiac artery aneurysms are rare and usually asymptomatic. The management of these aneurysms is challenging, especially when they are large and involve the confluence of the trifurcation. We present here a case of a large celiac artery aneurysm involving its branches in a young woman. Preoperative investigations, intraoperative findings, and the operative procedure are also presented and discus...

Surgical repair of a celiac artery aneurysm using a sutureless proximal anastomosis device

Some celiac artery aneurysms are not suitable for endovascular therapy. We describe the case of a 63-year-old man with a celiac trunk aneurysm extending to the hepatosplenic bifurcation. The aneurysm was resected and oversewn at the origin from the abdominal aorta. A saphenous vein bypass from the supraceliac aorta to the celiac artery bifurcation was performed using a sutureless anastomotic de...

Surgical Repair of an Asymptomatic Giant Right Coronary Artery Aneurysm

Background Coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) is a rare finding, being mostly diagnosed on angiography or at autopsies. It is defined as being a dilation of the coronary artery that exceeds the diameter of the patient's largest coronary vessel by 1.5 to 2 times. Case Report We describe the operative correction of a giant right CAA measuring in excess of 10 cm. Conclusion Management of giant CAAs is...

Celiac Arterioenteric Fistula after Open Repair of Celiac Artery Aneurysm – Case Report

We report a unique case of a celiac artery graft – duodenal fistula in a 60-year-old male, who developed upper gastrointestinal bleeding two months after initial open resection of a celiac artery aneurysm and placement of an aorto-celiac artery graft. The patient underwent successful repair of the fistula and the resection of the involved graft with ligation of the common hepatic artery and spl...

Thrombotic occlusion of a giant coronary artery aneurysm.

A 64-year-old man presented with chest pain and ST elevations (leads II—III). Coronary angiography (Fig. 1) showed an occluded aneurysmatic RCA and stenosis of LAD. PCI failed and due to critical condition the patient underwent successful emergency CABG and exclusion of the aneurysm from the circulation (Fig. 2). Fig. 2. The aneurysm (almost the size of a hen's egg) was opened and excluded from...
